WhatsApp Business

Where your customers already are, wired into dispatch

In most transfer markets the customer’s next question arrives on WhatsApp, not email. RideDesk connects your own WhatsApp Business number — yours, on your certificate, never a shared platform number — and puts every conversation in a team inbox that sits beside the bookings it belongs to.

Confirmations, driver assignments, pay links and pickup reminders go out as approved templates on the booking’s own journey; replies come back into a thread your whole team can see, assign and answer.

  • One inbox for the whole team

Every customer and driver conversation in one place — assignable, with internal notes, read receipts, quoted replies and per-conversation status. The same live thread appears inside the transfer and rental panels, so context never needs a second tab.

  • Booking-journey templates

Received, confirmed, driver assigned, pay link, reminder — each stage of a booking can message the customer through a pre-approved template with the real details filled in. Outside WhatsApp’s 24-hour reply window, RideDesk converts your message to a template automatically instead of letting it silently fail.

  • Rich media, both directions

Photos, documents, voice notes, video and stickers — sent and received, previewed in the thread, with audio and video playable in place. A customer photographs their flight ticket; it lands on the booking.

  • Broadcasts that respect the rules

Send an approved template to a segment of customers — deduplicated, opt-out checked at queue time and again mid-send, paced in batches, and refused outright if your number’s quality rating is red. Per-recipient delivery states show exactly who got it and why anyone didn’t.

  • Number health on the dashboard

Your quality rating and messaging tier are visible in settings — you find out your number’s standing from the panel, not from messages starting to fail.

  • A bot that can take over

Pair it with the guided chat bot and the number answers at 2am: quoting from your real rate card, booking end to end, or handing over to a human with the whole context attached.

Template manager included

Templates are WhatsApp’s currency, and you author your own.

  • Create and submit from the panel

Write a template with variables and quick-reply buttons, submit it to Meta for approval and track its status — without touching the Meta Business dashboard.

  • Quick-reply buttons that open conversations

A button tap counts as an inbound message, which opens the free 24-hour reply window — the practical trick that keeps template costs down.

  • Two tracks, never mixed

Customer and driver messages always ride YOUR number and your quality rating; platform alerts to your own phone ride RideDesk’s. One tenant can never damage another’s number standing.

Questions operators ask

Do I need my own WhatsApp Business number?

Yes — that is the point. Meta ties messaging limits and quality ratings to the number, so a shared number would pool every operator’s behaviour into one rating. Your number, your reputation, your customer relationships.

What happens outside the 24-hour window?

WhatsApp only allows pre-approved templates there. RideDesk knows this: a free-form staff reply outside the window is converted to your booking-update template automatically, and the thread shows it went out as a template.

Can drivers get their jobs on WhatsApp?

Yes — driver notifications ride the same connection, with the assignment details and the link to their portal. Drivers need no app and no login.

Which plans include WhatsApp?

Pro and Enterprise. The guided chat bot that can answer and book on the number is its own add-on on the same plans.
