RideDesk vs Moovs
Moovs and RideDesk are closer than most pairs in this market: both are modern, both charge a flat rate rather than per vehicle, and both run a genuinely free tier capped at ten rides a month. A comparison page that pretended otherwise would fall apart on the first paragraph an operator checked.

So this page is about the three places they actually diverge — the onboarding fee, who holds your card processing, and which market the invoicing and payment rails were designed for. Moovs figures are their published list prices, dated on this page.
What the two have in common
Both charge a flat monthly subscription rather than a fee per vehicle or per driver, and both state it on a public pricing page — which is less common in this trade than it ought to be. Moovs says their subscription is flat regardless of how many trips you run, and RideDesk works the same way. Neither takes a percentage of the fare.
Both run a free plan with the same cap: ten rides or transfers a month, no time limit, no card at sign-up. If you are a one-car operation weighing the two, you can genuinely run both for free, in parallel, on real bookings, for as long as you like. That is a better comparison than this page can ever be.
Both are also, unusually for this market, built in the last few years rather than adapted from something much older. The interfaces are modern, the booking flow is quote-first, and neither expects you to install anything to use it.
The job, as your dispatcher sees it
One record holds the passenger, the route, the flight, the assigned driver and the money — so nothing about the ride lives in somebody’s phone.

Priced by your rate card, on the server
The route is measured once and every vehicle class is priced from your own rates, so no channel can quietly undercut you.
Priced live from your own rate card · fixed, no surprises
The difference over a year
Software cost only. Card processing sits in its own row because RideDesk never holds it — you connect your own processor and keep whatever rate you have negotiated, which no calculator can guess for you.

Fleet size is asked for because per-vehicle vendors bill on it. Neither product here does: 4 vehicles cost what one costs.
A payment page per booking
Your own Stripe, PayPal or SumUp account, the full booking summary on the page, and a compliant invoice behind it.
Rentals, with the paperwork attached
Day rates and duration discounts, included kilometres, condition at handover and return, and an agreement the customer signs.
The card processing question
This is the difference that compounds quietly. Moovs publishes a processing rate of 3.4% plus 30 cents on their entry plan and 3% plus 30 cents above it — a bundled rate, the way most all-in-one platforms do it, and there is a real convenience argument for that: one bill, one support line, nothing to negotiate.
RideDesk does not touch your card processing. You connect your own Stripe, PayPal or SumUp account and keep whatever rate you already have — which for a European business taking European cards is often well under the rates a bundled US-market platform quotes. The money moves from your customer to your account without passing through us, and no plan takes a percentage of it.
Whether that matters depends entirely on your card volume and the rate you can actually get. On a desk turning over a few thousand a month it is noise. On one taking six figures a year in card payments it is the largest line in this comparison, and it is worth ten minutes with your processor to find out which of those you are.
Your brand, your domain
Your colours, your logo and your sending address, on a hostname you own. Customers never learn what software you run.
Booking page, panel & emails — 100% your brand, none of ours
Which one fits which operator
These two are close enough that fit decides it, not a feature count.
European transfer or chauffeur desk — RideDesk
Invoicing that survives an audit here, VAT handling, bank transfer and SEPA treated as real payment methods, a German-language panel, and prices in your own currency. That is what the product was built around rather than adapted to.
US operator wanting one bill for everything — Moovs
Bundled processing, a strong home-market presence and a marketplace. If your customers are American and you would rather not manage a processor relationship yourself, that is a legitimate preference and they serve it well.
You also rent vehicles out — RideDesk
Self-drive hire is a second core module: handover and return walkarounds with photos, agreements, deposits and a per-organisation checklist. A chauffeur-only platform will not cover that side of the business at all.
You want a native passenger app — price both carefully
Moovs sells one as a paid add-on with its own monthly and setup fees. RideDesk does not offer a native app at all; the booking flow is web and installs as a PWA. If an app is a hard requirement, cost it properly before choosing either product.
How a booking moves
Arrive, get priced, get a driver, get confirmed, get paid — the same path whichever channel it came from.
Create your organization, set your rate card, connect your domain and drop in your logo and colour.
Point your website at RideDesk, plug in the API, forward marketplace jobs, or add them by hand.
Approve, assign a driver or partner, send the pay link, and let the automations handle the rest.
What comes with it
The capabilities that turn a booking list into a business you can run from one screen.
Built-in CRM
Every booker becomes a customer record — history, documents, billing details, lifetime value.
Two-way inbox & WhatsApp
Reply to customers by email or WhatsApp from inside each booking. No separate app.
Live flight status
Airport pickups track the flight automatically — delays surface before the driver leaves.
Bookable by AI agents
A per-tenant MCP endpoint lets AI assistants get a quote and book — priced by your rules, never theirs.
Quote-to-booking analytics
See what visitors entered, which class they picked, and where they dropped off the funnel.
Automations & reminders
Confirmations, driver reminders, payment chasers and a morning digest — on autopilot.
Run both free plans against real bookings
Both products let you do this and it costs nothing. Ten real transfers a month through each, with your own rate card and your own customers, will settle in a fortnight what no comparison page can settle at all. We would rather lose that way than win an argument on a table you had to take on trust.
Frequently asked questions
How much does Moovs cost?
Their published list price, read on 28 August 2026: a free plan capped at ten rides a month, then 149 dollars a month, 199 dollars a month, and an enterprise tier from 999 dollars a month. The two main paid plans each carry a one-time 299-dollar setup fee, and card processing is published at 3.4% plus 30 cents, or 3% plus 30 cents on the higher plan. Confirm current pricing with them directly.
Does Moovs charge per trip?
No. Their pricing page states the subscription is flat regardless of how many trips you run, and RideDesk works the same way. This is a genuine point of agreement between the two products, and a reason to prefer either of them over a platform that bills you per booking.
Which has the better free plan?
They are almost the same size — ten rides a month on one, ten transfers a month on the other, neither with an expiry date or a card at sign-up. The deciding factor is not the cap but what you can do inside it: check whether each free tier issues the invoices your accountant needs and takes payment the way your customers actually pay.
Can I use my own Stripe account with RideDesk?
Yes — Stripe, PayPal and SumUp, connected with your own credentials, at your own negotiated rate. Payments settle into your account directly, and RideDesk takes no commission on fares on any plan. Bank transfer and a card terminal are supported as well.
Is RideDesk available in the United States?
It runs anywhere, and the currency, distance units, bank-detail layout and tax wording follow the country you set. But the invoicing was designed around European requirements first, and the trade ecosystem around US chauffeur work belongs to the American platforms. An operator in the US should weigh that honestly rather than be talked out of it.
